Ink Bootcamp!

Last Saturday I took Jen Starr's Ink Boot Camp at the Crafty Scrapper in Waxahachie, TX and I met some very nice people and learned some great inking techniques. I am posting the pics from the projects we completed.
The orange piece was done using alchohol inks which was my favorite medium.  The colors were rich and the blending was easy and had a dramamtic effect.

We added embossed metal that was originally silver and tinted with the same ink.

The butterfly was stamped on a transparency with archival ink.  We colored the oposite side of the transparency and cut it out, folded it and adhered it to the page.  I used Helmar quick dry and I was able to move on to the next step quickly which was adding the bling.  The crystals were clear and we were able to tint them using the same alchohol inks and it really brought the project together.

This tag was done using Perfect Pearls for the "Journey" stamp inked with Versamark.  The frosted glass tile was inked with versamark and embossed with clear embossing powder.  The only drawback was finding an adhesive to fix the glass tile to the page that would not show through the glass.

The "Wishes" project was fun and we used the distressing inks.  It is very versatile and you can get many different effects using just a water spray bottle.

The last image is done using the Ranger Ink pads and the colors are lush and rich.  What a great experience.
